contemporary portraits

Imagine is unique in that part of your portrait experience will be in our state of the art studio and part can be outdoors.

We are set in the heart of the Savernake Forest, in the grounds of a working dairy farm. This provides us with a wealth of photographic backdrops at our disposal.

Outside images add a richness of colour and texture to a portrait session, and often people feel more free and relaxed away from the studio lights.

The farmyard often delights younger children, where they can climb on haybales and get up close to the cows. Visually. it changes daily with their busy schedule of feeding, milking and agriculture, so there's always something new for our photographers to put in the frame.

The ancient Savernake Forest can provide a great adventure in Spring or Summer. Often families stay on for a picnic after their photo session has finished.

Spring is a busy time at Imagine, and brings a tide of colour to the studio. The bluebells make their appearance in the forest sometime between April and May.

It is an enchanting time to visit and allows us to capture children naturally, exploring and at play. Book early to avoid missing out if you’d like your portrait experience in the bluebell woods.

If you come to us in Summer, the chances of the weather being good enough to have photographs outside will be very high. With the longer daylight hours even our evening sessions will be able to enjoy the fantastic warmth and quality of light it brings,

Winter can limit our outdoor opportunities, as the weather gets wetter and colder. Snow photo shoots are quite rare, but if you can get to us when it snows, the results can be magical.
